About this course
The real estate industry is one of the highly profitable yet risky industries around the world. If you have the intention to work in this industry or are currently working in a real estate agency, especially in the sales department, then this course is for you.
Throughout the course, you will explore the techniques of gaining profit from the industry, especially how big names in real estate have done it. The course showcases techniques for convincing clients to buy/rent properties from you instead of your competitor.
You will interact with people who want to buy or rent properties and convince them to become your clients. You will also interact with property development companies that are building projects for the Ghanaian market and convince them to take you on as their official agent.
This course includes field visits property sites.

Module 1 – The fundamentals of real estate in Ghana and globally
Lessons include: Introductions to real estate, an overview of real estate in Ghana, understanding the legal framework and more.
Module 2 – The foundations for a successful real estate agency
Lessons include: Setting up operations, day-to-day management, branding, marketing and sales, customer service, business plan, financial model (generating sustained profits) and more.
Module 3 – Developing new agency services
Lessons include: Developing customer-centric services, diversifying revenue source with new business models and more.
Module 4 – Market trends and growth prospects
Lessons include: innovations in real estate, the future of real estate in Ghana and globally and more.
Module 5 – Field visits and case studies
- Develop your ideal customer profile
- Identify and sell to your ideal client, including making field visits
- Prepare a field visit report
- Identify 3 ideal landlord partners and sell to them, including making field visits

In Ghana, the rental category alone of the real estate processes deals valued at about $1.7b per year in Ghana with a growth rate of 11.7% for the next 3 years. The average rental price per month is USD300-USD1500 with an estimated 24,000 transactions per year. There are other segments of the real estate industry such as land acquisition, property buying and selling and mortgage and they are collectively worth several billions of dollars. With this course, you can start a successful real estate agency business, work as a real estate broker or agent, and work in the sales departments of a real estate/construction company among others.
This course runs for a total of five weeks, once a week every Saturday.
